How-to Guide
1. Turn on and switch Presentation Focus from the right-click menu
Entry point: Right-click menu in slideshow mode → Presentation Focus
- Open your presentation and enter slideshow mode.
- Right-click on the current slide.
- Select Presentation Focus.
- Choose the focus tool you want to use:
- Laser Pointer: shortcut Ctrl+R; available colors are red, green, and purple.
- Magnifier: shortcut Ctrl+G; you can adjust zoom and size.
- Spotlight: shortcut Ctrl+T; you can adjust mask intensity and size.
Success Criteria
- UI state: The selected focus effect appears on the current slide.
- Next actions: You can keep moving the mouse to present or switch to another focus tool.
Tips While Using
- Common mistakes: If you are not in slideshow mode, the presentation focus options will not appear in the right-click menu.
- Environment limits: This feature is available only in slideshow mode.
2. Turn on Presentation Focus from the bottom toolbar
Entry point: Bottom toolbar in slideshow mode → Presentation Focus
- Open your presentation and enter slideshow mode.
- Move the mouse to show the bottom toolbar.
- Click Presentation Focus.
- Select the focus tool you want to use.
Success Criteria
- UI state: The bottom toolbar shows the focus tool options, and the selected effect takes effect immediately.
- Next actions: You can continue switching between focus effects during the slideshow.
Tips While Using
- Common mistakes: The bottom toolbar may hide when the mouse is still, so move the mouse again to show it.
- Environment limits: You must be in the slideshow interface.
3. Exit Presentation Focus
Entry point: Esc key, or switch to another pointer option
- Press Esc during the slideshow.
- Or open the related focus menu and switch to another pointer option.
Success Criteria
- UI state: The Laser Pointer, Magnifier, or Spotlight effect disappears.
- Next actions: You can continue changing slides or use other slideshow tools.
Tips While Using
- Common mistakes: If you only move the mouse without exiting the current tool, the focus effect may remain active.
