1. Start from Beginning

Feature entry: Slide Show tab → From Beginning

  1. Open the presentation you want to play.
  2. Click the Slide Show tab at the top.
  3. Click From Beginning.
  4. The presentation enters full-screen slideshow mode from the first slide.
  5. You can also press F5 to start the slideshow.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: the presentation opens in full-screen slideshow mode.
  • You can continue to: move to the next slide or exit the slideshow.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: if the presentation is not open first, you cannot start the intended slideshow content.
  • Environment note: if the keyboard shortcut does not respond, use the ribbon button instead.

2. Start from Current Slide

Feature entry: Slide Show tab → From Current Slide

  1. Select the slide where you want playback to begin.
  2. Click the Slide Show tab at the top.
  3. Click From Current Slide.
  4. The presentation enters full-screen slideshow mode from the selected slide.
  5. You can also press Shift+F5 to start from the current slide.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: the slideshow starts from the selected slide in full-screen mode.
  • You can continue to: keep presenting from that point or exit the slideshow.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: if the target slide is not selected first, playback may start from a different page than expected.
  • Environment note: confirm the selected thumbnail before starting the slideshow.

3. Quick Slideshow

Feature entry: status bar slideshow drop-down button, or double-click a slide thumbnail

  1. Open the presentation and go to the target slide if needed.
  2. To start from the status bar, click the slideshow drop-down button on the bottom status bar.
  3. Select From Beginning or From Current Slide.
  4. To start directly from the current page, you can also double-click the slide thumbnail in Normal view.
  5. The presentation enters the corresponding full-screen slideshow mode.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: the slideshow opens successfully through a quick entry point.
  • You can continue to: start from the first slide or the current slide based on the option you selected.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: the status bar method and double-click thumbnail method may start from different positions, so confirm the target first.
  • Environment note: the double-click thumbnail method requires you to locate the target slide in Normal view first.
