How-to Guide
1. Right-Click Menu Navigation
Entry point: Right-click menu in slideshow mode → Locate
- Open your presentation and enter slideshow mode.
- Right-click on the current slide.
- Select Locate.
- Choose one of the following methods as needed:
- Slide Browse: open the slide list and choose a target slide.
- By Title: jump by slide title.
- Previously Viewed: jump to a slide you viewed earlier.
- Back: return to the last viewed slide with Ctrl+L.
- Custom Show: run a preset custom show.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: the right-click menu shows Locate and its related options.
- What you can do next: after you choose a method, the slideshow switches to the target slide.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: if you are not in slideshow mode, the slideshow Locate entry will not appear.
- Environment note: some Locate methods depend on slide titles, viewing history, or an existing custom show in the current presentation.
2. Keyboard Navigation
Entry point: keyboard controls in slideshow mode
- Press Page Up or the Left Arrow to go to the previous slide.
- Press Page Down or the Right Arrow to go to the next slide.
- Press Home to jump to the first slide.
- Press End to jump to the last slide.
- Type a slide number and press Enter to jump directly to that slide.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: the slideshow changes immediately after the key action.
- What you can do next: continue presenting or use another shortcut.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: if you type a slide number but do not press Enter, the jump will not run.
- Environment note: keep keyboard focus on the slideshow window.
3. Bottom Toolbar Navigation
Entry point: bottom toolbar in slideshow mode → Previous / Next
- Move the pointer during slideshow mode to show the bottom toolbar.
- Click Previous to return to the prior slide.
- Click Next to move to the following slide.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: the bottom toolbar appears after pointer movement.
- What you can do next: the slideshow moves backward or forward as expected.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: if the pointer does not move over the slideshow area, the bottom toolbar may stay hidden.
