1. Open Custom Slideshow

Feature path: Slide Show → Custom Slideshow

  1. Open the WPS presentation file that you want to present.
  2. Click the Slide Show tab at the top.
  3. Click Custom Slideshow.
  4. In the dialog box, view and manage existing custom slideshows.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The Custom Slideshow dialog box opens.
  • Next action available: You can create, edit, delete, or play an existing slideshow plan.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: Open the presentation file first, and then enter the Custom Slideshow feature.

2. Create a Custom Slideshow

Feature path: Slide Show → Custom Slideshow → New

  1. In the Custom Slideshow dialog box, click New.
  2. Enter a name for the custom slideshow.
  3. Select the slides that you want to present from the slide list on the left.
  4. Click Add to move the selected slides to the list on the right.
  5. Use the ↑↓ buttons to adjust the slide order.
  6. If you want to remove a slide from the slideshow list, select it and click Delete.
  7. Click OK to save.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The new custom slideshow name appears in the list.
  • Next action available: You can continue editing the slideshow or play it directly.
  • No side effect: The original slides are not actually deleted.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: Delete here removes a slide only from the slideshow list, not from the original presentation.
  • Environment note: Make sure the presentation already contains all slides that you want to show.

3. Edit or Delete a Custom Slideshow

Feature path: Slide Show → Custom Slideshow

  1. Open the Custom Slideshow dialog box.
  2. Select the custom slideshow that you want to change.
  3. Click Edit to modify its content, included slides, or order.
  4. If you want to remove the whole slideshow plan, click Delete.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The updated slideshow content is saved, or the selected slideshow is removed from the list.
  • Next action available: You can create another slideshow plan or play a different one right away.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: Deleting a custom slideshow removes the slideshow plan, not the original slide content in the presentation.

4. Play a Custom Slideshow

Feature path: Slide Show → Custom Slideshow

  1. Open the Custom Slideshow dialog box.
  2. Select the custom slideshow that you want to play.
  3. Click Show.
  4. Present the slides in the custom order.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The presentation starts in the selected custom order.
  • Next action available: You can continue the presentation or exit and switch to another slideshow plan later.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: Make sure the correct slideshow plan is selected before you click Show.
