How-to Guide
1. Apply Solid Fill
Entry point: Drawing Tools tab → Shape Styles area → Shape Fill
- Select the shape that you want to fill with color.
- Click the Drawing Tools tab at the top.
- Click Shape Fill to open the color options.
- Choose from Theme Colors, Standard Colors, More Fill Colors, or Recent Colors.
- Click the color you want to apply the solid fill to the current shape.
- If you need more adjustments, click More Settings to open the settings pane.
Success Criteria
- The inside of the shape shows the selected solid color.
- The color change appears immediately on the current slide.
- You can continue saving, copying styles, or editing the object.
Tips While Using
- Make sure the shape is selected first, or Shape Fill will not apply to the target object.
- If the slide contains several similar objects, confirm the current selection before changing the fill.
2. Customize Solid Fill
Entry point: Drawing Tools tab → Shape Fill → More Settings → Object Properties → Fill
- Select the shape that you want to fill with color.
- Click the Drawing Tools tab.
- Open the Shape Fill menu and click More Settings.
- In the Object Properties sidebar, find Fill and Line.
- Expand Fill and select Solid Fill.
- Choose the fill color you want.
