About This Feature
Overview
Shape Outline is a shape border formatting feature in WPS Presentation. It lets you adjust the outer border of a shape after selecting it in a slide. From the Shape Outline menu, you can apply theme colors, gradient borders, more border colors, the eyedropper, line weight, dashed lines, and arrow styles. You can also open More Settings to continue in the Object Properties pane.
This feature is useful for flowcharts, diagrams, cover slides, teaching materials, and business presentations. Consistent border styling can make key shapes easier to notice and help keep the page visually consistent.

Compare with Alternatives
| Dimension | WPS | Microsoft | Notion | Adobe | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Capability Summary | Shape Outline in WPS Presentation can set theme colors, gradient borders, more border colors, the eyedropper, weight, dashed lines, arrow styles, and detailed line options in Object Properties. | Microsoft Office Shape Outline can change border color, thickness, and style for shapes or text boxes, and also supports No Outline, Dashes, and More Lines. | Google Docs drawings let users insert shapes and lines, then change line color, line thickness, and border or line style on the canvas. | Notion mainly provides page formatting and simple tables. Its official help content does not describe a presentation-style shape outline tool with equivalent border controls. | Adobe Acrobat lets users add shapes, lines, and drawings, then adjust appearance-related border settings for those objects. |
| WPS Advantages | Advantage: WPS brings color, gradient, eyedropper, weight, dashed line, and arrow style options together in one shape-outline workflow, with a follow-up path to Object Properties for more detailed line settings. | Compared with WPS: Microsoft covers common border formatting well, but the cited page focuses on color, weight, dashes, and More Lines rather than the same combined workflow described for WPS. | Compared with WPS: Google supports basic line formatting in drawings, but the official flow is centered on a drawing canvas rather than a presentation object-properties sidebar. | Compared with WPS: Notion is oriented toward structured content and layout, not slide-shape border styling for presentation objects. | Compared with WPS: Adobe is oriented toward PDF commenting and drawing workflows rather than slide-based shape styling in a presentation editor. |

Overall Conclusion
If your main task is styling shapes inside presentation slides, WPS Shape Outline provides a focused workflow with both quick options and deeper line settings. Other products offer related capabilities, but they are aimed at document drawings, page layout, or PDF annotation rather than the same presentation-editing path.
