What should I do if content is not fully displayed after setting page margins?

  1. Check whether the current margins are too large, and switch to a narrower preset if needed.
  2. Adjust column width, row height, or scaling so the content fits the page width more effectively.
  3. Open Print Preview again to review the layout before reducing the margins further.

Why does dragging the ruler not change much?

  1. Make sure you are currently in Page Layout view.
  2. Check that you are dragging a margin marker instead of another ruler control.
  3. If you need more exact changes, use Custom Margins and enter numeric values directly.

Why can’t I set very small values in Custom Margins?

  1. Check whether the current printer or printer driver has a minimum margin limit.
  2. Increase the margin values slightly and preview the page again.
  3. If you still need a tighter layout, also adjust scaling, paper orientation, or worksheet column width.

Why do the margins in Print Preview look different from the actual printed result?

  1. Check whether the paper size, orientation, and printer settings match the document page settings.
  2. Confirm whether the printer has a non-printable area limitation.
  3. Fine-tune the margins again in Print Preview and run a test print first.
