1. Convert to Scanned PDF
Entry point: Convert tab → Convert to Scanned PDF
- Open the PDF file that you want to convert.
- Click the Convert tab on the top menu bar.
- Click Convert to Scanned PDF.
- In the dialog box, set the conversion options.
- Click Start Conversion.
- Wait for the conversion to finish.
Success Criteria
- UI state: The conversion finishes normally and a new scanned-style PDF file is generated.
- Next actions: You can open the output folder and check the converted file.
Tips While Using
- Membership: This feature requires a WPS membership.
- File impact: The converted file is closer to an image-based scanned document, so direct text editing will be more limited afterward.
2. Set Output Options
Entry point: Convert tab → Convert to Scanned PDF → Settings panel
- After clicking Convert to Scanned PDF, review the available output options in the settings panel.
- Under Output Color, choose a color or black-and-white scanned effect.
- Under Output Directory, choose where to save the file.
- Confirm the settings and click Start Conversion.
Success Criteria
- UI state: The selected color mode and save location are applied.
- Next actions: After conversion, you can find the output file in the selected folder.
Tips While Using
- Membership: This feature requires a WPS membership.
- Saving advice: If you want to keep the original editable version, back up the original PDF first.
