1. Translate a Full Email

Entry path: Open the email you want to translate → Right-click in a blank area of the message body → Select Full Translation

  1. Open the email you want to translate.
  2. Right-click inside the message body area to open the context menu.
  3. Select Full Translation.
  4. Wait for the message content to be translated.
  5. After the translation appears, you can continue with these actions:
    • Click View Original to return to the original email content.
    • Click Settings to change the target translation language.
    • Click the current language name to switch to Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, Español (México), or another available language.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The message body is shown in the translated language.
  • Next action available: You can switch back to the original or change the target language.
  • No side effect: The original email content is not overwritten.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: Right-click inside the message body area instead of another part of the interface.
  • Environment limit: Translation requires a working network connection.

2. Set a Default Translation Language

Entry path: Click the Settings icon at the upper right of the Mail page → General SettingsTranslate content to drop-down list

  1. Click the Settings icon at the upper right of the Mail page.
  2. Select General Settings in the left-side menu.
  3. Find the Translate content to option.
  4. Open the drop-down list and choose the default target language.
  5. Future translation actions will use that language by default.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The selected target language is shown in the drop-down list.
  • Next action available: The next full-email translation uses the selected default language first.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: Make sure the language selection has actually changed before leaving the page.
  • Environment limit: You need to open the Mail settings page before changing this option.
