1. Open the Add from Cloud Documents entry

Entry path: Mail compose page → body editing toolbar → Attachments drop-down menu → Add from Cloud Documents

  1. Click Write Mail to open the mail compose page.
  2. In the body editing toolbar, click the Attachments drop-down menu.
  3. Select Add from Cloud Documents.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The cloud document picker opens.
  • Next action available: You can browse or search files in cloud documents.

Tips While Using

  • Environment note: Your account needs access to cloud documents.
  • Common mistake: If you are not in the compose window, the attachment entry is not shown.

2. Browse or search cloud documents

Entry path: Cloud document picker

  1. After the cloud document picker opens, browse the file list.
  2. To find a file faster, use the search box and enter file name keywords.
  3. Select the file you want to add.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The target file is selected.
  • Next action available: The available insertion methods are shown.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If file names are similar, confirm the target file before inserting it.

3. Choose an insertion method and finish adding

Entry path: Insertion method area in the cloud document picker

  1. After selecting a file, review the available insertion methods.
  2. To let recipients view or collaborate online, select Insert Cloud Document Link.
  3. To attach the file directly to the email, select Insert as File Attachment.
  4. Click the corresponding button to finish adding it.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The email now shows the inserted link or attachment content.
  • Next action available: You can continue editing the email and send it.

  • Common mistake: Link insertion and file attachment insertion fit different scenarios, so confirm the method before sending.
