1. Add a new encryption password

Entry: Top-right “≡” → Document Encryption → Password Encryption

  1. Open the document that you want to encrypt.
  2. Tap the top-right “≡” icon.
  3. Select Document Encryption from the list.
  4. Turn on Password Encryption.
  5. Set a password in the pop-up window.
  6. Set Open Permission (document open password) and Edit Permission (document edit password) as needed.
  7. Tap OK to finish.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The document saves the encryption settings.
  • Next action available: When you open the Document Encryption page again, you can see the password management entry.

Tips While Using

  • Keep the password in a safe place to avoid losing access to the document.
  • Open and edit permissions can be set separately based on your needs.

2. Manage existing encryption settings

Entry: Top-right “≡” → Document Encryption → Change Password

  1. Open a document that already has encryption enabled.
  2. Tap the top-right “≡” icon.
  3. Select Document Encryption from the list.
  4. Tap Change Password.
  5. Change the password in the pop-up window, or clear the document password if needed.
  6. Tap OK to finish.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The new password setting takes effect, or the previous password restriction is removed.
  • Next action available: The document can be opened or edited under the updated permission rules.

Tips While Using

  • After changing a password, notify the people who still need access to the document.
  • Before clearing a password, confirm whether the document still needs protection.
