1. Enter Design Mode

Feature entry: Developer → Design Mode

  1. Open the document you want to edit.
  2. Click the Developer tab on the ribbon.
  3. Click Design Mode.
  4. After Design Mode is enabled, start editing the content controls in the document.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The document enters a control-editing state.
  • Next action available: You can select a content control and continue editing it.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you do not switch to the Developer tab first, you may not see the entry.
  • Environment limit: This feature is not supported on mobile versions of WPS.

2. Edit controls in Design Mode

Feature entry: Developer → Design Mode
