Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: if you do not open the Frequent page first, you may not see the add-location entry.
  • Environment note: adding a local location usually does not require a network connection, but signing in is recommended for syncing across devices.

  • Next action available: you can open that cloud file or folder directly from Frequent.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: make sure you right-click the target file or folder itself, not a blank area.
  • Environment note: this action involves cloud documents, so a network connection and a signed-in WPS account are recommended.

3. Unpin Files

Entry: WPS home page left sidebar → Frequent

  1. Open WPS and go to the Frequent tab on the left.
  2. Find the pinned location, file, or folder in the list.
  3. Right-click the target item.
  4. Select Unpin.
  5. Confirm that the item has been removed from the Frequent list.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: the target item no longer appears in the Frequent list.
  • Next action available: other pinned items remain available.
  • No side effect: the original file or folder is not deleted.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: distinguish between unpinning and deleting the original file; unpinning only removes the shortcut entry.
  • Environment note: if the list syncs across devices, the change can appear after you sign in with the same account.
