1. View Navigation Bar entries
Entry path: WPS Home page → Left-side Navigation Bar
- Open WPS Office and go to the home page.
- Check the shortcut icons in the Navigation Bar on the left side.
- Confirm that the visible entries include Home, WPS AI, Writer, Presentation, Spreadsheet, PDF, and AI Slides.
- Click an entry icon to switch to that module or create the related file type.
- Hover over an icon to view its name.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The Navigation Bar icons are visible on the left side.
- Next action available: You can open the target module or create the related file through the icon.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you are not on the WPS home page, the left-side Navigation Bar may not appear.
- Environment note: Some online service entries require an internet connection.
2. Hide or restore names
Entry path: WPS Home page → Blank area in the Navigation Bar → Right-click
- Open the WPS Office home page.
- Right-click a blank area in the Navigation Bar on the left side.
- Click Hide Names in the menu.
- Check whether the Navigation Bar now shows icons only without text labels.
- To restore names, right-click the Navigation Bar again and clear Hide Names.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: When enabled, only icons are shown; when disabled, text labels return.
- Next action available: You can still open each entry through its icon.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you right-click outside the blank area of the Navigation Bar, the related menu may not appear.
- Environment note: This setting is available in the left-side Navigation Bar on the WPS home page.
