When using Document Handover for Departing Members, common questions usually focus on sign-in status, sharing links, recipient limits, and handover scope; this FAQ includes 4 common questions and a glossary.
FAQ
Can I still hand over documents if the departing member can no longer sign in?
- Yes. An administrator can complete the departing handover directly in the admin console.
- The former member does not need to sign in again for this process.
- The system identifies the enterprise documents and related business assets under that member during the handover flow.
Do existing sharing links still work after document handover?
- Document ownership is transferred to the recipient.
- Existing sharing links do not become invalid automatically.
- It is recommended to review and clean up the former member’s external sharing links after the handover.
Can the departing member’s documents be handed over to different people in batches?
- The current one-click handover flow transfers all documents to one recipient.
- If different people need different files, complete the unified handover first.
- Then let the recipient redistribute the documents as needed.
Why can’t I select the recipient or complete the handover?
- First confirm that the recipient has already joined the enterprise organization structure.
- Then confirm that the current administrator has the required management permissions.
- If the recipient is not in the organization structure, add them first and then try the handover again.
