FAQ
What does a group category do?
- A group category is used to organize user groups so administrators can find target groups more quickly in the directory.
- One category can contain multiple user groups, which makes it suitable for organizing by business scenario or purpose.
- The category itself does not change permissions, policies, or the actual function of a user group.
Can one user group belong to multiple categories?
- No. Each user group can belong to only one category.
- It is helpful to plan your classification method in advance, such as by department, project, or responsibility.
- If the current structure is not suitable, adjust the category structure first and then reorganize group placement.
Why can’t some categories be edited or deleted?
- First check whether the category already contains user groups.
- When a category contains user groups, edit or delete is not available directly.
- Handle the groups inside that category first, then return to the More menu and continue the action.
