FAQ

What does a group category do?

  1. A group category is used to organize user groups so administrators can find target groups more quickly in the directory.
  2. One category can contain multiple user groups, which makes it suitable for organizing by business scenario or purpose.
  3. The category itself does not change permissions, policies, or the actual function of a user group.

Can one user group belong to multiple categories?

  1. No. Each user group can belong to only one category.
  2. It is helpful to plan your classification method in advance, such as by department, project, or responsibility.
  3. If the current structure is not suitable, adjust the category structure first and then reorganize group placement.

Why can’t some categories be edited or deleted?

  1. First check whether the category already contains user groups.
  2. When a category contains user groups, edit or delete is not available directly.
  3. Handle the groups inside that category first, then return to the More menu and continue the action.
