How-to Guide
1. Add a Record
Entry path: Bottom toolbar → Add Record → Confirm Add
- Tap Add Record on the bottom toolbar.
- Enter the field content in the pop-up window.
- Tap Confirm Add at the bottom to finish.
Success Criteria
- What you should see: a new record appears at the end of the data table.
- What you can do next: continue filling in, editing, or saving the record.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: confirming before entering the needed fields may require another edit afterward.
2. Insert a Record
Entry path: Select an existing record → Floating toolbar → Insert Above / Insert Below
- Tap the row number on the far left of the target record to select it.
- Tap Insert Above on the floating toolbar to insert a new record above the current one.
- Tap Insert Below on the floating toolbar to insert a new record below the current one.
Success Criteria
- What you should see: a new record appears above or below the target position.
- What you can do next: enter content into the inserted record immediately.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: if the row number is not selected first, the floating toolbar will not show the related actions.
3. Duplicate an Existing Record
Entry path: Select an existing record → Floating toolbar → Duplicate
- Tap the row number on the far left of the target record to select it.
- Tap Duplicate on the floating toolbar.
- Check the copied record below the current one and edit it as needed.
Success Criteria
- What you should see: a duplicated record appears below the current record.
- What you can do next: continue editing the fields in the duplicated record.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: after duplicating, forgetting to review the copied fields may leave old information in place.
4. Clear a Record
Entry path: Select an existing record → Floating toolbar → Clear
- Tap the row number on the far left of the target record to select it.
- Tap Clear on the floating toolbar.
- Check whether the content in the current record has been cleared.
Success Criteria
- What you should see: clearable content in the current record is removed.
- What you can do next: re-enter content in the same record.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: confusing Clear with Delete; after clearing, the record itself still stays in the table.
- Limitation: system auto-filled content cannot be cleared.
5. Delete a Record
Entry path: Select an existing record → Floating toolbar → Delete
- Tap the row number on the far left of the target record to select it.
- Tap Delete on the floating toolbar.
- Confirm that the current record has been removed from the data table.
Success Criteria
- What you should see: the current record disappears from the table.
- What you can do next: continue maintaining other records or save the file.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: if a record is deleted by mistake, you may need to add it again or re-enter the content.
