1. Create a Single-Choice Option Field

Entry path: + button on the right side of the header → Single Choice

  1. Click the + button on the right side of the header.
  2. Select Single Choice from the field type list.
  3. Enter a field name.
  4. Click OK to finish.

Success Criteria

  • A new single-choice field column appears in the table.
  • The field can be opened in field settings for further option management.

2. Add and Edit Options

Entry path: Right-click the field title → Field Settings → option list area

  1. Right-click the single-choice field title and select Field Settings.
  2. In the option list area, click + Add Option to create a new option.
  3. The table assigns different display colors to different options.
  4. Click the square color button before an option to change its display color.

Success Criteria

  • The new option appears in the option list.
  • Updated colors display correctly in the field options.

3. Batch Edit Options

  4. Click OK to save.

4. Allow New Options During Entry

  1. Right-click the single-choice field title and select Field Settings.
  2. Turn on the Allow adding options during entry switch.
  3. During record entry, if the input is not in the preset list, add it as a new option.

  • New input values can be added to the option list during entry.

5. Set a Default Value

Entry path: Right-click the field title → Field SettingsDefault Value

  2. Choose one option from the Default Value drop-down list.
  3. Save the setting. New records will fill in that option automatically.

  • The default value is shown in field settings.
  • New records automatically use the selected default option.
