1. Create a Currency Field
Entry path: + button on the table header → Field Type drop-down list → Currency
- Click the + button on the right side of the table header.
- Select Currency from the field type list.
- Enter a field name.
- Click Confirm to finish.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: A new currency field column appears in the table.
- What you can do next: You can continue to set the currency symbol, decimal places, or a default value.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you choose another field type by mistake, delete it and create a Currency Field again.
- Environment note: You need permission to edit fields in the current Multi-Dimensional Table.
2. Set the Currency Symbol
Entry path: Right-click the field title → Field Settings → Currency option
- Right-click the Currency Field title.
- Select Field Settings.
- Choose a currency in the Currency drop-down list, such as RMB (¥) or USD ($).
Success Criteria
- Interface result: Amounts in the field display with the selected currency symbol.
- What you can do next: You can continue entering amounts or switch to another currency later.

- Common mistake: Changing the currency symbol affects display format only and does not change the stored numeric value.
3. Set Decimal Places
Entry path: Right-click the field title → Field Settings → Number Format option

- Select Field Settings.
- In Number Format, choose the number of decimal places to keep.
- Save the setting and review the display result.

- Common mistake: Decimal-place settings mainly affect display and do not stop the field from being used in calculations as a numeric field.
4. Set a Default Value
Entry path: Right-click the field title → Field Settings → Default Value option
- Right-click the Currency Field title.
- Select Field Settings.
- Enter a default amount in Default Value.
- Create a new record and check whether the value is filled automatically.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: New records show the preset amount automatically in the field.
- What you can do next: You can keep the default value or edit it for a specific record.
