1. Create a Currency Field

Entry path: + button on the table header → Field Type drop-down list → Currency

  1. Click the + button on the right side of the table header.
  2. Select Currency from the field type list.
  3. Enter a field name.
  4. Click Confirm to finish.

  • Interface result: A new currency field column appears in the table.
  • What you can do next: You can continue to set the currency symbol, decimal places, or a default value.

  • Common mistake: If you choose another field type by mistake, delete it and create a Currency Field again.

2. Set the Currency Symbol

Entry path: Right-click the field title → Field Settings → Currency option

  1. Right-click the Currency Field title.
  2. Select Field Settings.
  3. Choose a currency in the Currency drop-down list, such as RMB (¥) or USD ($).

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: Amounts in the field display with the selected currency symbol.

  • Common mistake: Changing the currency symbol affects display format only and does not change the stored numeric value.

3. Set Decimal Places

Entry path: Right-click the field title → Field Settings → Number Format option

  2. Select Field Settings.
  3. In Number Format, choose the number of decimal places to keep.
  4. Save the setting and review the display result.

  • Common mistake: Decimal-place settings mainly affect display and do not stop the field from being used in calculations as a numeric field.

4. Set a Default Value

Entry path: Right-click the field title → Field Settings → Default Value option

  1. Right-click the Currency Field title.
  2. Select Field Settings.
  3. Enter a default amount in Default Value.
  4. Create a new record and check whether the value is filled automatically.
