1. Create a Cascading Options Field
Entry path: Click the + button on the right side of the table header → Cascading Options
- Click the + button on the right side of the table header.
- Select Cascading Options from the field type list.
- Enter a field name.
- Click OK to finish creation.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: A new Cascading Options Field column appears in the table.
- Next action available: You can right-click the field title and open field settings.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you choose the wrong field type, the created column will not match your intended setup.
- Environment note: You need permission to add fields in the current Bitable.
2. Set Cascading Option Content
Entry path: Right-click the field title → Field Settings → Edit Options
- Right-click the title of the Cascading Options Field.
- Select Field Settings.
- Click Edit Options.
- In the editing window, adjust the first-level, second-level, and third-level option titles.
- Use + Add Option or Batch Edit to add options as needed.
- Click OK to save the changes.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The option hierarchy in field settings is updated.
- Next action available: After you select a parent option in a record, the related child options can be viewed.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If parent options are not set first, the child option structure may be incomplete.
- Environment note: The field currently supports up to 3 linked levels.
