How-to Guide
1. Create an Auto Task field

- Open the multidimensional table that you want to edit.
- Click the plus button on the right side of the table header.
- In the field type list, select Auto Task.
- Enter a field name.
- Click OK to finish creating the field.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: a new Auto Task field column appears in the table.
- Next action available: you can right-click the field title and continue to field settings.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: if you do not select Auto Task in the field type list, a different field type may be created instead.
- Environment note: you need edit permission for the current multidimensional table.
2. Configure field settings
Entry path: right-click the field title → Field Settings
- Right-click the title of the Auto Task field.
- Select Field Settings.
- In the settings panel, choose a task type. Available options include notifying a contact when a status checkbox is selected, when content changes, and when a due date is reached.
- Select the status field. This field needs to be a checkbox field. If one is not available, create a checkbox field directly.
- Select the contact field for notifications. This field needs to be a contact field. If one is not available, create a contact field directly.
- Finish the setup and close the settings panel, or continue adjusting the configuration.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: the settings panel shows the selected task type and linked fields.
- Next action available: you can reopen field settings later and modify the configuration.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: if checkbox fields or contact fields are not prepared first, some configurations cannot be completed right away.
- Environment note: notification logic usually depends on an online collaboration environment, so keeping a network connection is recommended.
