1. View version history

Entry path: Tap the top-right menu → Version History

  1. Open a spreadsheet file.
  2. Tap the top-right menu icon.
  3. Select Version History.
  4. Review the list of saved versions for the current document.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The version list opens successfully.
  • Next action available: You can continue to name, preview, restore, or delete a selected version.

2. Name a version

Entry path: Tap the top-right menu → Version History → More → Name

  1. Tap the top-right menu icon.
  2. Select Version History.
  3. Find the version you want to label.
  4. Tap the More icon next to that version.
  5. Select Name.
  6. Enter a name and confirm to finish.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The selected version shows the new name.
  • Next action available: You can identify that version more quickly for later preview or restore actions.

3. Preview a version

Entry path: Tap the top-right menu → Version History → More → Preview

  1. Tap the top-right menu icon.
  2. Select Version History.
  3. Find the version you want to inspect.
  4. Tap the More icon next to that version.
  5. Select Preview to open that version for review.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The selected historical version opens for review.
  • Next action available: You can decide whether to restore that version.

4. Restore a version

Entry path: Tap the top-right menu → Version History → More → Restore this version

  1. Tap the top-right menu icon.
  2. Select Version History.
  3. Find the version you want to restore.
  4. Tap the More icon next to that version.
  5. Select Restore this version.

  • Interface result: The current file returns to the selected version state.
  • Next action available: You can continue editing, saving, or reviewing other versions.

5. Delete a version

Entry path: Tap the top-right menu → Version History → More → Delete version

  1. Tap the top-right menu icon.
  2. Select Version History.
  3. Find the version you want to remove.
  4. Tap the More icon next to that version.
  5. Select Delete version.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The selected version no longer appears in the version list.
  • Next action available: You can continue organizing other saved versions.
