Entry: Top View tab → Show Scale
- Open the spreadsheet file that you want to review.
- Click the View tab at the top of the window.
- Click Show Scale on the toolbar.
- In the dialog box, choose a preset percentage such as 120%, 100%, or 80%.
- If you need more precise control, enter a custom percentage value.
- Click OK to apply the current zoom setting.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The current worksheet is displayed at the selected zoom level.
- What you can do next: You can keep editing, scrolling, or adjusting the scale again.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: A very small percentage can make content hard to read, while a very large percentage reduces the visible worksheet area.
- Environment note: This setting changes only the current viewing scale and does not change print output size.
2. Adjust Show Scale from the status bar
Entry: Bottom status bar → + / - / percentage value
- Open the spreadsheet file and look at the bottom status bar.
- Find the Show Scale area with the + and - controls.
- Click + to zoom in on the current worksheet step by step.
- Click - to zoom out on the current worksheet step by step.
- If the interface allows direct editing of the percentage, click the current value and enter a specific number.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The percentage in the status bar changes, and the worksheet view updates at the same time.
- What you can do next: You can continue working while adjusting the scale without leaving the current editing view.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: When focusing on details, it is easy to lose track of the overall layout, so it helps to return to a familiar percentage afterward.
- Environment note: The visible worksheet area can vary even at the same percentage when the window size changes.
