1. View Recent Changes from the Collaboration tab
Entry: Collaboration → History → Recent Changes
- Select a specific cell or highlight the range that you want to review.
- Click the Collaboration tab.
- Click the History button on the toolbar.
- Select Recent Changes from the drop-down menu.
- Choose the range you want to review, such as Recent Changes for Cell, Today, Last 3 Days, or Last 7 Days.
- Review all data change records in the selected time range.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: You can see the recent change list or the related submenu.
- Next action available: You can switch to another time range and continue reviewing changes.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you do not select a target cell or range first, the result may be broader and closer to worksheet-level review.
- Environment note: The completeness of collaboration records can depend on file saving and sync status.
2. View and filter Recent Changes from the file menu
Entry: File menu → Recent Changes
- Select a specific cell or highlight the range that you want to review.
- Click the file menu button in the upper-left corner.
- Find Recent Changes in the menu.
- Select the time period that you want to review.
- If you need more filtering, click Change Tracking to open the change filter panel on the right.
- Filter records by Worksheet, Time, or All Operations in the panel.
- Click a specific change record to jump to the related cell.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The change filter panel appears on the right and shows filterable records.
- Next action available: Clicking a change record takes you to the related cell.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you only choose a time period but do not open the filter panel, you cannot narrow the result further.
