1. View Recent Changes from the Collaboration tab

Entry: Collaboration → History → Recent Changes

  1. Select a specific cell or highlight the range that you want to review.
  2. Click the Collaboration tab.
  3. Click the History button on the toolbar.
  4. Select Recent Changes from the drop-down menu.
  5. Choose the range you want to review, such as Recent Changes for Cell, Today, Last 3 Days, or Last 7 Days.
  6. Review all data change records in the selected time range.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: You can see the recent change list or the related submenu.
  • Next action available: You can switch to another time range and continue reviewing changes.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you do not select a target cell or range first, the result may be broader and closer to worksheet-level review.
  • Environment note: The completeness of collaboration records can depend on file saving and sync status.

2. View and filter Recent Changes from the file menu

Entry: File menu → Recent Changes

  1. Select a specific cell or highlight the range that you want to review.
  2. Click the file menu button in the upper-left corner.
  3. Find Recent Changes in the menu.
  4. Select the time period that you want to review.
  5. If you need more filtering, click Change Tracking to open the change filter panel on the right.
  6. Filter records by Worksheet, Time, or All Operations in the panel.
  7. Click a specific change record to jump to the related cell.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The change filter panel appears on the right and shows filterable records.
  • Next action available: Clicking a change record takes you to the related cell.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you only choose a time period but do not open the filter panel, you cannot narrow the result further.
  • Environment note: Older records outside the retained range may no longer be available.
