How-to Guide
1. View Collaboration History
Entry path: Collaboration tab → History → Collaboration History; or File → History → Collaboration History
- Open a smart spreadsheet.
- Click the Collaboration tab at the top.
- Click History on the toolbar.
- Select Collaboration History from the drop-down menu.
- Review the collaboration records in the right-side panel in reverse chronological order.
- Check the editor, action type, and action time for each record.
You can also use the alternate entry:
- Click File in the upper-left area.
- Click History → Collaboration History.
- Open the related panel and review the records.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The Collaboration History panel opens on the right side.
- Next action available: You can continue to review details or apply filters.
Tips While Using
- This entry is easier to confirm after you open a collaborative smart spreadsheet.
- If there are many records, use filters to narrow the list first.
2. Use the Collaboration History Filter
Entry path: right-side Collaboration History panel → Filter
- Open the Collaboration History panel first.
- Find Filter at the top of the panel.
- Filter by collaborator to review one person’s records.
- Filter by action type, such as edit, comment, or share.
- Filter by time range to review records from a specific period.
- Use the filtered results to locate the target change.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The record list updates based on the selected filters.
- Next action available: You can locate the target record more quickly and open its details.
Tips While Using
- It is often helpful to narrow the time range first, then add person or action filters.
- If the target record does not appear, clear part of the filter conditions and try again.
3. Restore Collaboration Content
Entry path: click a collaboration record → click the action content → View Details → Content Restore
- Open the Collaboration History panel on the right.
- Click any collaboration record.
- If the related content still exists in the spreadsheet, WPS locates it and highlights it.
- Review the changed area and confirm whether a restore is needed.
- Click View Details.
- Select Content Restore to restore that content to the spreadsheet.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The target content is located or highlighted, and the content is restored after the action.
- Next action available: You can continue reviewing other records or save the current result.
Tips While Using
- If the related content is no longer in the spreadsheet, direct locating may not work.
- In that case, continue with version history to investigate and restore an appropriate version.
