1. Enter Reading Mode

Entry path: editing screen → top-left Done

  1. Open a Smart Sheet and enter the editing screen.
  2. Tap Done in the top-left corner.
  3. Wait for the interface to switch to Reading Mode.
  4. Confirm that the editing toolbar is hidden and the screen is now focused on viewing.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: the editing toolbar is hidden and the screen becomes cleaner for viewing.
  • What you can do next: you can continue using reading-related tools from the bottom-right toolbar.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: if you still see the editing screen, make sure you tapped Done in the top-left corner.

2. Return to Editing from Reading Mode

Entry path: Reading Mode → bottom-right toolbar → Edit

  1. Keep the file open in Reading Mode.
  2. Tap the bottom-right toolbar.
  3. Select Edit.
  4. Continue modifying the sheet after the editing screen appears again.

  • What you can do next: you can type, revise, or adjust spreadsheet content.

3. Use Supporting Tools in Reading Mode

Entry path: Reading Mode → bottom-right toolbar

  1. Tap the bottom-right toolbar while in Reading Mode.
  2. Select Landscape Reading when you want a horizontal viewing layout.
  3. Select Find when you need to locate target content in the sheet.
  4. Select Settings when you want to use filters, find and replace, card mode, or revision history.
