When using Reading Mode, the most common questions are about entering the mode, switching back to editing, and finding the right tool entry; this FAQ includes 3 common questions and a short glossary.

Why didn’t Reading Mode open after I tapped the button?

  1. Make sure the file is opened as a Smart Sheet and that you are in the editing screen.
  2. Check whether you tapped Done in the top-left corner.
  3. If the interface does not change, return to the editing screen and tap Done again.

Can I edit cell content directly in Reading Mode?

  1. Reading Mode is mainly for viewing content and does not support direct editing.
  2. Tap Edit from the bottom-right toolbar.
  3. Return to the editing screen before changing cell content.

What tools are still available in Reading Mode?

  1. Tap the bottom-right toolbar to view the available entries.
  2. You can use Landscape Reading, Find, and Settings as needed.
  3. If you need to make more changes, switch back to editing mode.
