How-to Guide

1. Create a Dashboard

Entry point: Insert tab → Dashboard

  1. Open an AirSheet file and make sure the workbook already contains a data worksheet for display.
  2. Click Dashboard on the Insert tab.
  3. Wait for the app to create a new dashboard worksheet automatically.
  4. In the new dashboard, click Add Component to prepare for linking a data source.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: A new dashboard worksheet appears in the workbook.
  • Next actions: You can continue adding components and selecting a data source.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistakes: If no data worksheet is prepared first, later data-source setup may be less convenient.
  • Environment limits: Organizing source fields in advance makes summary display easier.

2. Add Data Components

Entry point: Dashboard editing view → Add Component

  1. In the dashboard worksheet, click Add Component.
  2. Select a component type such as a column chart, pie chart, or statistic card.
  3. Choose the linked worksheet and fields.
  4. Set the summary method, such as count, sum, or average.
  5. Drag the component to adjust its size and position.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: A configured data component appears on the dashboard.
  • Next actions: You can continue adding more components or refining the layout.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistakes: Choosing the wrong fields can produce unexpected chart or statistic results.
  • Environment limits: The display result depends on complete source data and a usable field structure.

3. Show or Hide the Dashboard Title

Entry point: Dashboard editing view → Title

  1. Open the dashboard worksheet you want to adjust.
  2. Click the Title control.
  3. Switch the title to shown or hidden based on your display needs.
  4. Click a blank area of the dashboard to review the page layout.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: The dashboard title is shown or hidden according to the current setting.
  • Next actions: You can continue editing components or present the dashboard directly.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistakes: If you do not click a blank area after switching the title, the overall display effect may be harder to judge immediately.

4. Edit Data Components

Entry point: The ... icon in the upper-right corner of a component

  1. Click an existing data component.
  2. Click the ... icon in the upper-right corner of the component to open the menu.
  3. Select Configure to reset the data source, style, or text format.
  4. Use Copy, Copy as Image, Export as Image, or Delete as needed.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: The component menu opens and the selected action runs normally.
  • Next actions: You can continue refining the component or organizing the dashboard layout.
  • No side effects: If you do not choose Delete, the original component remains available.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistakes: Clicking Delete by mistake removes the component directly.
  • Environment limits: Before exporting or copying as an image, confirm that the component content is finalized.
