Can I still type content into a checkbox cell?

  1. A cell that has been set to the checkbox type is no longer used for direct plain-text input.
  2. A cell that already contains content also cannot be directly converted into a checkbox cell.
  3. Check whether the cell needs to keep text before you apply the checkbox setting.

How do I add checkboxes in batches?

  1. Insert one checkbox into a target cell first.
  2. Then extend it to other cells with fill actions.
  3. If you want a full column to use the same setup, use Column Type → Checkbox.

How do I delete a checkbox?

  1. Select the target cell that contains the checkbox.
  2. Open the drop-down menu next to the Checkbox button on the Insert tab.
  3. Select Clear Checkbox to remove it.
