Last updated:July 20, 2026

Common questions about WPS Find and Replace Location usually focus on search scope, batch replacement, and go-to results; this FAQ includes 4 practical answers and a glossary.

FAQ

How do I search across multiple worksheets at the same time?

  1. Open the Find dialog.
  2. Click Options to expand advanced settings.
  3. Change the search scope from Worksheet to Workbook.
  4. Run the search again to search across the entire workbook.

Why were not all matching items updated after replacement?

  1. Check whether you used Replace or Replace All.
  2. If you clicked Replace, only the current match is updated each time.
  3. If you want to update every matching item at once, use Replace All.
  4. If some items are still missed, check whether options such as case sensitivity or entire-cell match are limiting the results.

Why can’t I find content that is clearly in the sheet?

  1. Check whether the entered content exactly matches the target text.
  2. Review whether Match case or Match entire cell contents is enabled.
  3. Check whether the search scope is set to the current worksheet instead of the whole workbook.
  4. If the target content uses a specific format, adjust or clear the format condition and search again.

When is Go To the better choice?

  1. Go To is useful when a worksheet is large and manual scrolling is slow.
  2. After you choose a target position or type from the Go To entry, the view can jump directly to that area.
  3. This is helpful for quick checks and follow-up edits in a selected region.
