Why does the chart not update automatically after I change the source data?

1. Check whether you edited the cells that the chart actually uses as its source.
2. If the chart does not refresh, reopen Edit Chart and confirm that the data range is correct.
3. Make sure any newly added or changed data is still inside the chart's referenced range.
4. Check the chart again after the range is corrected.

Will a chart image update automatically after I save it as a picture?

1. No. An exported local image does not update with spreadsheet data changes.
2. The original chart inside the spreadsheet can still change with its source data.
3. If you need the latest image, update the chart first and then run Save as Picture again.

Why can't I see Chart Tools after selecting a chart?

1. Make sure you selected a chart object rather than a normal cell or a picture.
2. Try clicking the chart border or chart area again to reselect it.
3. If the entry still does not appear, check whether the object in the file is an editable chart.
