How-to Guide
1. Turn on the persistent sum and count display
Entry: View → Turn on persistent sum and count display
- Select the cells or range that you want to calculate and count.
- Tap the View tab at the bottom of the screen.
- Turn on Turn on persistent sum and count display.
- Check the top of the screen for sum, average, maximum, minimum, count, and numerical count.
- To reuse a result, tap any summary value to copy it to the clipboard.
- When you are done, tap the X on the left side of the summary panel to close the persistent display.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: A summary panel appears at the top of the screen and shows multiple calculation results for the current selection.
- What you can do next: You can switch to another selection or tap a summary value to copy it.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If no cells are selected first, the summary results may not appear as expected.
- Environment note: The panel only summarizes the currently selected data range.
2. Show sum from the floating edit bar
Entry: Floating edit bar → More actions → Show Sum
- Tap to select the cells or range that you want to calculate and count so the floating edit bar appears.
- In the floating edit bar, tap More actions.
- Tap Show Sum.
- Check the summary panel at the top of the screen.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The sum and count panel appears at the top of the screen.
- What you can do next: You can continue reviewing the summary results or select another range to recalculate.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If the floating edit bar does not appear, tap the target cell or range again.
- Environment note: The summary results update when the current selection changes.
