How-to Guide
1. Turn on Auto Hide Content
Entry: Bottom toolbar → Auto Hide Content
- Select the column that you want to hide, or select any cell in that column.
- Tap Tools on the bottom toolbar.
- Tap Auto Hide Content.
- After it is turned on, the selected area is displayed as
●, and only the document owner, form filler, and designated users can view the original content.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The target area is displayed as
●. - Next action: You can continue editing other areas or open the management settings.
Tips While Using
- This feature changes display only and does not change the original data.
- Check the selected column or cell range before turning it on.
2. Switch Auto Hide Content from the floating edit bar
Entry: Floating edit bar → More Actions → Auto Hide Content
- Tap the target column or any cell in that column to bring up the floating edit bar.
- Tap More Actions.
- Tap Auto Hide Content to turn it on.
- To turn it off later, open the same path again and switch it off.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: Content is shown as
●when enabled and returns to normal display when disabled. - Next action: You can switch the status again from the same path.
Tips While Using
- The floating edit bar is useful for quick changes during editing.
- After it is turned off, the area becomes visible to all collaborators again.
3. Manage Auto Hide Content settings
Entry: Bottom toolbar → Auto Hide Content
- Select a column that already has Auto Hide Content enabled.
- Tap Tools on the bottom toolbar.
- Tap Auto Hide Content to open the management panel.
- Set Ignore Header if you want header rows to stay visible.
- If you want to restore normal display, tap Turn Off Auto Hide Content.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: Header rows can remain visible based on your setting, or the hidden state is removed.
- Next action: You can continue adjusting rules for other columns.
Tips While Using
- Ignore Header is useful when collaborators still need to identify field names.
- After Auto Hide Content is turned off, all collaborators can view the content in that area.
