1. Create an email field
Entry point: the + button on the right side of the header → Field Type list → Email
- Open a smart spreadsheet data table.
- Click the + button on the right side of the header.
- Select Email from the field type list.
- Enter a field name.
- Click OK to finish creating the field.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: a new email field column appears in the data table.
- What you can do next: you can enter email addresses in cells under that column.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: if you choose the wrong field type, create the field again or adjust the field settings.

2. Enter an email address
Entry point: target cell → type an email address
- Click the target cell in the email field.
- Enter an email address, such as example@wps.cn.
- Wait while WPS checks the email format automatically.
- If a format warning appears, revise the address and confirm again.
- Press Return to finish the entry.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: the entered email address appears in the cell.
- What you can do next: you can click the address to open the local mail client.
