Why is a heading missing from the directory?

  1. Check whether the content is in the main body of the document.
  2. Check whether the paragraph uses a heading style.
  3. If the heading is inside a highlight block or a table, it will not appear in the directory.

Does my directory display state affect other collaborators?

  1. Showing or hiding the directory only affects your current view.
  2. This display state does not directly change what other collaborators are currently seeing.
  3. If the document owner folds or expands directory nodes, other users may see the same folded state when they first join collaboration.

Why is the directory empty after I open it?

  1. First check whether heading styles have been applied in the document.
  2. Then confirm that the headings are in the main body area.
  3. If the document does not contain a recognizable heading structure, the directory panel may be empty.
