1. Open the Content Protection Zone entry

Entry path: Tap Edit in the lower-right corner → tap the + icon in the bottom toolbar

1. Open a smart document.
2. Tap Edit in the lower-right corner to enter editing mode.
3. Tap the paragraph you want to work with.
4. Tap the + icon in the bottom toolbar to open more options.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: The document is in editing mode and the bottom toolbar is expanded.
• Next action available: You can continue to select Content Protection Zone.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: If you do not enter editing mode first, the full toolbar options may not appear.
• Environment note: The file needs to be a smart document, and your account needs editing permission.

2. Add a Content Protection Zone to a paragraph

Entry path: Tap the + icon in the bottom toolbar → tap Content Protection Zone

1. In editing mode, tap the paragraph where you want to add protection.
2. Tap the + icon in the bottom toolbar.
3. Select Content Protection Zone.
4. Return to the document and review the protection status of that paragraph.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: The selected paragraph has a Content Protection Zone applied.
• Next action available: You can continue editing other content that is not protected.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: If the target paragraph is not selected first, the protection may be added to the wrong place.
• Environment note: It is easier to organize the document if you add protection after the content structure is mostly settled.

3. Check the editing effect of the protected zone

Entry path: Return to the document body and test the protected content directly

1. After adding a Content Protection Zone, tap the protected paragraph again.
2. Check whether that area can still be edited like a normal paragraph.
3. Try editing other content that is not protected to confirm that normal editing still works there.
4. Let the document owner continue managing the protected content.
