1. Set a Password

Entry path: WPS Home → Avatar → Personal Center → Set Password

  1. Click the avatar icon at the top right of WPS.
  2. Open Personal Center.
  3. Find the Security Settings section.
  4. Click the Not Enabled button next to Set Password.
  5. Verify the linked email address.
  6. Enter the password and confirm it again. The password must be 8 to 16 characters and use three types among letters, numbers, and symbols.
  7. Click Confirm to finish setting the password.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: the Security Settings area no longer shows the Not Enabled status.
  • Next action available: the account can use the new password for sign-in verification.

Tips While Using

  • Make sure the linked email address can receive verification messages.
  • If the new password does not meet the length or combination rules, it cannot be submitted.
  • After setup, store the password safely and avoid reusing a common password.

2. Reset a Password

Entry path: Personal Center → Change Password

  1. In Personal Center, find the Security Settings section.
  2. Click the Settings button next to Change Password.
  3. Enter the current password.
  4. Enter the new password and confirm it again. The password must be 8 to 16 characters and use three types among letters, numbers, and symbols.
  5. Click Confirm to finish the password change.
  6. If you forgot the password, click Forgot Password and continue with email verification.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: after submission, the page returns to the Security Settings area.
  • Next action available: future sign-ins can use the new password.

Tips While Using

  • If the current password is entered incorrectly, the change cannot be completed directly.
  • If you forgot the password, verification through the linked email address is required.
  • After changing the password, update sign-in details on other devices if needed.
