1. Save a Spreadsheet
Entry: Top menu bar → Save
- Create a new spreadsheet or edit an existing one.
- Tap Save on the top menu bar.
- If this is the first time you save a new spreadsheet, choose the save path, file name, and file format as prompted.
- Complete the save action to store the current spreadsheet in the selected location.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The current file information is written to the selected location.
- What you can do next: You can continue editing the spreadsheet and save later changes again.
Tips While Using
- During the first save, confirm the save path, file name, and file format before finishing.
- If local storage is low, the save may not complete. Clear storage space or save to a cloud location instead.
2. Save As to a Selected Location
Entry: Top menu bar → More → Save As
- Open the spreadsheet you want to keep as another copy.
- Tap the top menu bar.
- Tap More, then select Save As from the menu.
- Choose a destination such as local storage, WPS Cloud, or another added cloud storage option.
- Change the file name or file format if needed.
- Tap Save to finish.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: A new file is created in the new location or under the new name.
- What you can do next: You can open the new file and continue editing it while keeping the original file.
- No side effect: The original file is not directly overwritten by the Save As action.
Tips While Using
- Saving to cloud or external cloud storage requires a working network connection.
- Check the destination before saving so the new file is easy to find later.
