1. Adjust row height or column width from the Rows and Columns menu

Entry: Insert → Rows and Columns

1. Select the row or column that you want to adjust.
2. Click the Rows and Columns drop-down button on the Insert tab.
3. Select Row Height, AutoFit Row Height, Column Width, AutoFit Column Width, or Standard Column Width as needed.
4. If you choose Row Height or Column Width, enter the target value and click the confirm button (√).

Success Criteria

• Interface result: The selected row height or column width changes.
• What you can do next: You can continue editing cells, save the file, or adjust other rows and columns.

Tips While Using

• Row height is measured in points, and the default value is 13.5 points.
• Column width is measured in characters, and the default standard column width is 8.18 characters.
• AutoFit Row Height and AutoFit Column Width adjust the display size based on content.

2. Adjust row height or column width from the right-click shortcut menu

Entry: Right-click a row number or column header

1. Select the target row or column.
2. Right-click the row number or column header to open the shortcut menu.
3. When you right-click a row number, choose Row Height or AutoFit Row Height. When you right-click a column header, choose Column Width or AutoFit Column Width.
4. Enter the target value and click the confirm button (√), or run the automatic fitting command directly.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: The target row or column is adjusted by the entered value or by content.
• What you can do next: You can repeat the same action for other rows or columns.

Tips While Using

• The right-click menu is useful for quick local adjustments.
• The right-click menu does not include the Standard Column Width command.

3. Restore columns to the standard column width

Entry: Insert → Rows and Columns → Standard Column Width

1. Select the columns that you want to restore to the default width. To restore multiple columns, select them first.
2. Click the Rows and Columns drop-down button on the Insert tab.
3. Select Standard Column Width.
4. Confirm the action to restore the selected columns to the default width of 8.18 characters.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: The selected columns return to a uniform default width.
• What you can do next: You can continue entering data, adjust other columns, or save the file.

Tips While Using

• Standard Column Width is available only in the Insert → Rows and Columns menu.
