1. Turn Reading Mode on or off
Entry: Edit Mode / Reading Mode at the top of the page
- Open a collaborative spreadsheet.
- Click the Edit Mode drop-down menu in the upper-right area.
- Select Reading Mode.
- After you enter Reading Mode, the spreadsheet content remains visible but cannot be edited.
- When you need to edit again, switch back to Edit Mode.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The current mode is shown as Reading Mode.
- What you can do next: You can continue browsing the spreadsheet content.
- No unwanted effect: Existing spreadsheet data is not changed directly.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If the file is not a collaborative spreadsheet, the mode entry may not appear.
- Environment note: A stable network connection is recommended for online collaborative spreadsheets.
