1. Enable Protect Worksheet

Entry points:

• Path 1: Tools → Review → Protect Worksheet
• Path 2: Tap the worksheet name → floating menu → Protect

1. Open WPS Spreadsheet and go to the worksheet you want to protect.
2. Tap Tools at the bottom of the screen, then open the Review tab.
3. Tap Protect Worksheet.
4. Turn on Enable Protect.
5. Optionally add a protection password and confirm it.
6. Tap Done.
7. Return to the editing page and check whether a 🔒 icon appears before the worksheet name.

Success Criteria

• Worksheet protection is enabled.
• A 🔒 icon appears before the worksheet name.
• The current worksheet is now in a protected state.

Tips While Using

• If you set a protection password, keep it in a safe place.
• You can also enter protection settings from the worksheet name floating menu.
• Some non-editing actions may still be available after protection is enabled.

2. Remove Protect Worksheet

Entry points:

• Path 1: Tools → Review → Remove Protect Worksheet
• Path 2: Tap the worksheet name → floating menu → Remove Protection

1. Open the protected spreadsheet and switch to the target worksheet.
2. Tap Tools at the bottom of the screen, then open the Review tab.
3. Tap Remove Protect Worksheet.
4. Return to the editing page and check whether the 🔒 icon before the worksheet name disappears.
5. If you use the worksheet name floating menu, you can also tap Remove Protection directly.

Success Criteria

• Worksheet protection is removed.
• The 🔒 icon no longer appears before the worksheet name.
• The current worksheet can be edited again.

Tips While Using

• If a password was set earlier, you may need to complete the related verification before protection can be removed.
• Make sure you are on the worksheet that you want to unprotect.
