How-to Guide

Feature entry: Insert tab → Link

  1. Select the cell where you want to add a link.
  2. Click Link on the Insert tab, or press Ctrl+K.
  3. Open the link settings window.

Success Criteria

  • The link settings window opens.
  • The selected cell is ready for link configuration.

Tips While Using

  • If the shortcut does not respond, open the feature from the Insert tab directly.

  1. Enter the text you want to show in the Text field.
  2. Select a link type from the Type drop-down list.
  3. Enter the destination in Link/Address, or choose the target location.
  4. Click OK to finish inserting the link.

Success Criteria

  • The cell shows the configured link text.
  • Clicking the link opens the expected destination.

Tips While Using

  • Available types include Link, Cell, Worksheet, Dashboard, Defined Name, and AirScript Script.
  • For web links, enter the full address when possible.

Feature entry: Right-click menu → Edit Link

  1. Right-click the object that already contains a link.
  2. Select Edit Link.
  3. Change the destination or related details.
  4. Click OK to save the changes.

Success Criteria

  • The link destination is updated.
  • The original cell content still displays and works normally.

Tips While Using

  • Check the current destination before editing so you do not change the wrong link.

Feature entry: Right-click menu → Cancel Link

  1. Right-click the object that already contains a link.
  2. Select Cancel Link.
  3. Keep the original content while removing the jump action.

Success Criteria

  • The original text or content remains.
  • Clicking no longer triggers a jump.

Tips While Using

  • Removing a link only deletes the jump behavior and does not automatically delete the original text in the cell.
