1. Insert a web page link
Entry path: Bottom Tools option → Insert tab → Hyperlink → Web Page
- Select the cell where you want to add the link.
- Tap Tools at the bottom.
- Tap Insert, then tap Hyperlink.
- Under Link to, select Web Page.
- Paste the website URL.
- Set the display text and tap OK.
Success Criteria
- The cell shows the display text you set.
- Tapping the cell opens or jumps to the linked target.
Tips While Using
- Make sure the URL is complete so the link can open correctly.
- Opening a web target usually requires an internet connection.
2. Insert a place-in-document link
Entry path: Bottom Tools option → Insert → Hyperlink → Place in This Document
- Select the cell where you want to add the link.
- Tap Tools at the bottom.
- Tap Insert, then tap Hyperlink.
- Under Link to, select Place in This Document.
- Select the target worksheet or cell.
- Set the display text and tap OK.
Success Criteria
- A clickable jump text appears in the cell.
- Tapping it moves to the selected worksheet or cell.

3. Insert an email link
Entry path: Bottom Tools option → Insert → Hyperlink → Email
- Select the cell where you want to add the link.
- Tap Tools at the bottom.
- Tap Insert, then tap Hyperlink.
- Under Link to, select Email.
- Enter the email address and subject.
- Set the display text and tap OK.
