How-to Guide

1. Turn on Full Screen from the View tab

Entry: View tab at the top of the window → Full Screen

  1. Open the WPS spreadsheet file that you want to review.
  2. Click the View tab at the top of the window.
  3. Find the Full Screen button in the toolbar.
  4. Click it to hide the toolbar and menu area so the worksheet uses more of the window.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The toolbar and menu area are hidden, and the worksheet area becomes larger.
  • You can continue: You can keep browsing the spreadsheet in the enlarged view.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If no spreadsheet file is open, you cannot enter the worksheet Full Screen view for this task.
  • Environment note: The visible area after switching depends on your current window size.

2. Turn on Full Screen from the status bar icon

Entry: Full Screen icon on the right side of the bottom status bar

  1. Open any WPS spreadsheet file and enter the worksheet view.
  2. Look at the right side of the bottom status bar.
  3. Click the Full Screen icon.
  4. The worksheet switches to Full Screen immediately.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The current window changes to Full Screen view.
  • You can continue: You can keep reviewing the worksheet without going back to the top menu first.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: The shortcut entry can be easy to miss if you do not check the right side of the status bar.
  • Environment note: The status bar needs to be visible for this entry to be available directly.

3. Exit Full Screen and return to the standard interface

Entry: Press Esc in Full Screen, or use the Full Screen entry again

  1. While in Full Screen, press the Esc key on your keyboard.
  2. If a minimal control bar is visible, you can also use the available on-screen exit entry.
  3. After exiting, confirm that the top toolbar and menu area are visible again.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The window returns to the standard editing or viewing interface.
  • You can continue: Tabs, toolbars, and other regular features are available again.
  • No side effect: Exiting Full Screen does not change worksheet data.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: Exiting Full Screen only restores the interface; it does not close the file.
  • Environment note: If a keyboard shortcut is affected by another environment, use the on-screen exit entry instead.
