1. Use the Convert Text to Number command for batch conversion

Entry point: Data tab → Convert Text to Number

  1. Select the cell range that contains numbers stored as text.
  2. Confirm that the related cells show a green triangle warning in the upper-left corner.
  3. Click Data and then click Convert Text to Number.
  4. Wait for WPS to convert the selected text values into numeric values in batch.
  5. Check whether the green triangle warning has disappeared.

Success Criteria

  • The numbers in the selected range can participate in calculations as numeric values.
  • The green triangle warning is removed.

Entry point: Green triangle warning in the upper-left corner of a cell → Convert to Number / Batch Convert to Number

  2. Confirm that a green triangle warning appears in the upper-left corner of the cell.
  3. Open the warning menu for that cell.
  4. Select Convert to Number or Batch Convert to Number.
  5. Check whether the current cell or selected range has been converted.

  • The current cell or target range is converted to numeric values.
  • The green triangle warning no longer appears.
  • Related formulas can update normally.
