1. Create an Automation Process
Entry: Developer Tools → Automation Process
- Click the Developer Tools tab and select Automation Process.
- In the automation panel, click Create Blank Flow, or choose a preset flow template.
- In the flow editor, add a trigger and one or more actions.
- Continue adding nodes based on your workflow needs.
- Click Save and Enable to activate the flow.
Success Criteria
- The flow editor opens successfully.
- The new flow is saved and is ready to be enabled or is already enabled.
- You can continue configuring triggers and actions.
Tips While Using
- Confirm the target spreadsheet and business goal before creating the flow.
- If you start from a template, review the default trigger and action settings first.
- Before enabling the flow, check the flow name and configuration again.
2. Set Trigger Conditions
Entry: Developer Tools → Automation Process → New Flow → Trigger settings on the left
- In the flow editor, choose a trigger type on the left side.
- Available trigger types include When a Record Is Added, When a Record Is Modified, When the Specified Time in a Record Arrives, and Scheduled Trigger.
- Configure the related parameters, such as the target sheet, time setting, or schedule cycle.
- Add the corresponding actions after the trigger is set.
- Save the flow and test the trigger result.
Success Criteria
- A trigger type is selected.
- The related parameters are configured.
- The flow can run when the expected condition is met.
Tips While Using
- For scheduled flows, make sure the time setting matches the real business cycle.
- For record-based triggers, confirm the target sheet in advance.
- After changes, review the result or run log for verification.
3. Manage Automation Processes
Entry: Developer Tools → Automation Process → Flow management panel
- Click Automation Process to open the flow management panel.
- Click the more options button next to a flow to view available actions.
- Enable or disable the flow as needed.
- Click the flow name to open the editor and make changes.
- You can also duplicate, delete, or review run logs for the flow.
Success Criteria
- The flow management panel opens successfully.
- You can enable, disable, edit, duplicate, or delete an existing flow.
- You can review trigger history and execution records.
Tips While Using
- Deleting a flow cannot be undone, so confirm before you proceed.
- After duplicating a flow, review its trigger and action settings again.
- If a flow fails, check the run log first.
