How-to Guide

1. Turn Auto Wrap On or Off

Entry: Tools → Home → Auto Wrap

  1. Select the cell or cell range where you want to change the wrap setting.
  2. Tap Tools at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Open the Home tab.
  4. Find and tap Auto Wrap in the expanded menu.
  5. When content is wider than the column, the text will wrap onto multiple lines and the row height will increase.
  6. To turn it off, tap Auto Wrap again.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: text that exceeds the column width is shown on multiple lines inside the cell.
  • Next action available: you can continue editing, reviewing, or adjusting other cell formats.
  • No side effect: the actual text content in the cell is not changed.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: if the target cell or range is not selected first, the setting may not apply where expected.
  • Environment note: you need to enter spreadsheet editing mode before this entry is available.
  • Display note: Auto Wrap changes display only, not the content itself.
