How-to Guide

Entry point: top View tab → Alternate Row Marking

  1. Open the worksheet that you want to review in WPS Sheets.
  2. Click the View tab at the top.
  3. Find Alternate Row Marking on the toolbar and click it.
  4. The worksheet immediately shows the alternating row effect. Click the same button again to turn it off.
  5. If you want to adjust the display colors, open the drop-down menu on the right and choose a custom color scheme.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: the current worksheet shows alternating row colors, or returns to the normal display after you turn the feature off.
  • Next actions: you can continue browsing, editing, filtering, or saving the spreadsheet.
  • No side effects: the actual data in cells is not changed.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistakes: if you do not switch to the View tab first, the feature can be harder to find quickly.
  • Environment limits: this effect is mainly for the current on-screen display and is not part of the worksheet data itself.
