1. Apply Import and Export Comments from the ribbon

Entry path: Edit tab → Edit Content → Text Edit → Import/Export

  1. Open the PDF file you want to edit.
  2. Click the Edit tab on the top menu bar.
  3. Click Edit Content to enter content editing mode.
  4. Click Text Edit on the toolbar to switch to text editing mode.
  5. Select the text you want to format.
  6. Click Import/Export on the toolbar to apply the effect.

Success Criteria

  • The selected text shows the Import/Export comment effect.
  • The Import/Export command is available after text is selected.

Tips While Using

  • Enter Text Edit mode before selecting text.
  • If no text is selected, the command may be unavailable.
  • Text in scanned PDFs may not be directly editable.

2. Apply or remove Import and Export Comments from the floating toolbar

Entry path: Floating toolbar after text selection → Import/Export

  1. Open the PDF file and enter Text Edit mode.
  2. Select the text you want to format.
  3. Click Import/Export on the floating toolbar above the text.
  4. To remove the applied effect, select the same text again and click the same command.

Success Criteria

  • The floating toolbar appears after text selection.
  • Clicking the command applies the effect, and clicking it again removes the effect.

Tips While Using

  • The floating toolbar appears only after text is selected.
  • If the command is dimmed, confirm that the text is editable and currently selected.
