How-to Guide
1. Insert a Video
Entry path: Top menu bar Edit tab → Video button
- Open the PDF file that you want to edit.
- Click the Edit tab on the top menu bar.
- Click the Video button on the toolbar.
- In the file selection dialog box, choose a video file.
- Click Open to finish the insertion.
- Place the video in the appropriate page area and resize it as needed.
Success Criteria
- The inserted video object appears on the page.
- The video object can be moved and resized.
- The video is ready for playback, editing, or export.
Tips While Using
- This feature requires PDF editing access.
- Inserting a large video file may noticeably increase the PDF file size.
- It is recommended to use common video formats for easier playback and sharing.
2. Play a Video
Entry path: Double-click the inserted video
- Locate the inserted video object in the PDF page.
- Double-click the video, or click the play button on the video.
- View the content in the pop-up player.
- Control playback progress, volume, and other available options as needed.
Success Criteria
- The video opens and starts playing normally.
- Basic playback controls are visible in the player.
- You can preview whether the video content is correct.
Tips While Using
- Playback performance depends on the local playback environment.
- If the video does not play normally, first check whether the file is complete and usable.
- When you share the document, recipients need a PDF viewing environment that supports multimedia content.
3. Edit a Video
Entry path: Right-click the inserted video
- Right-click the video object on the PDF page.
- Choose the editing option you need from the menu.
- To adjust video settings, select Edit Video.
- To set a cover image, select Add Cover.
- To control playback behavior, select Playback Condition Settings.
- To remove the video, select Delete Video.
Success Criteria
- The right-click menu shows the related editing options.
- The selected settings are applied to the current video object.
- If deleted, the video object is removed from the page.
Tips While Using
- Before deleting a video, confirm that you no longer need to keep that media content.
- After setting a cover image or playback condition, play the video again to check the result.
- If the document will be shared, complete a final preview before saving.
4. Save a Video File
Entry path: Right-click the video → Save Video File to Local
- Right-click the inserted video in the PDF page.
- Select Save Video File to Local.
- Choose the target location in the save dialog box.
- Finish the export and check whether the local file opens normally.
Success Criteria
- An exported video file is created in the selected local location.
- The exported video file can be opened independently.
- The original video object in the PDF remains unchanged.
Tips While Using
- Before exporting, make sure there is enough local disk space.
- If you need to archive the file, use a clear file name for the exported video.
- Exporting the video does not automatically replace the original video in the PDF.
